This collection of papers is for teachers, trainers, curriculum planners, and all those who are involved in making changes, or in creating conditions in which language teachers can implement changes in their classrooms and in their practice. Drawn from many different countries - Chile, Finland, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, UK, these first-hand accounts include a range of situations including large-scale national change, institutional change and classroom change. The writers, themselves agents of change, have also seen their own professional roles develop. From being teachers they have become facilitators, trainers, advisors and managers.
